What We Collect

When you submit a datapoint, we collect the information you provide:

• Name and email address
• City, state, and ZIP code
• Spend amount and category

We may also collect basic usage data (page visits, browser type) through standard web analytics.

We also record anonymous usage events as you move through the site, such as a ZIP search that finds no matching city, to decide where to expand coverage and improve the experience. When a ZIP search succeeds, we record the matched city rather than the ZIP code itself; a searched ZIP is kept only when no city matches. These events are never tied to your name or email.

How We Use It

Your data is used to build anonymized, aggregate advocacy reports that demonstrate pickleball's economic impact to local governments. Individual submissions are never identified in any public report or presentation.

We may use your contact information to send updates about the campaign in your area, new programs, or initiatives relevant to pickleball infrastructure. You can opt out at any time.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may share information with trusted service providers and program partners who help us operate PaddleClub or facilitate programs you choose to participate in. Any such sharing is limited to what is necessary to deliver those services or programs.

If you opt into a specific program, promotion, or partnership offered through PaddleClub, we may share relevant information with the applicable partner to fulfill your participation in that program.

Bot Protection

To keep automated bots and spam out of the dataset, this site uses Cloudflare to verify that submissions come from real people. This check may process limited technical signals from your browser. Your use of it is subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Cookies

We store a single first-party identifier in your browser (a cookie and a matching local-storage value) so we can recognize your device across visits, avoid double-counting your contributions, and credit any referral that sent you here. It is not used for advertising and is never shared with third parties. You can clear it any time through your browser settings.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. To do so, email troy@paddleclub.org.
